Mark is a Financial Advisor operating under his firm, Horizon Wealth Strategies, an independent firm affiliated with Cornerstone Planning Group. He works primarily with pre-retirees and retirees, with a specialization in advising technology executives who hold equity compensation.

Mark approaches his work as a consultant, taking the time to understand his clients, their priorities, and the people and goals that matter most to them. He strives to get every aspect of a plan right while ensuring strategies align with clients’ motivations and emotions. He thrives on correctly matching financial strategies to how clients truly feel about their money and their future.

Mark was drawn to financial planning early in his career after witnessing the impact a CFP® professional had on a family navigating loss – an experience that shaped his path and has guided his work since 1989. He finds the greatest meaning when clients follow the guidance provided and achieve outcomes they may have thought out of reach (like retiring earlier than expected).

Outside of work, Mark spends his time with his wife and their dogs, playing golf with his son CJ, and staying involved in his community. He is an active donor and committee member with the MDRT Foundation and remains deeply engaged with his church, where he sings in the choir and serves on the endowment board.
